BATTERIES – by JV

Batteries are a container that has acid inside.  Electricity is made when electrons move through metal.  In order to make electrons move, it needs a source of energy such as acid.  
Lemons are a source of acid. It can work as a battery. Insert a piece copper into a lemon.  Then put a gator clip on the copper and attach the other end to a LED.  Take a piece of zinc and put another gaiter clip on it and attach the other end to the LED.  The LED should light up.  (If it does not work, add more lemons to provide more energy.)
