Projects: Baseball, Charleston Bump, Hunting Island

We have arrived at Project Week.   In our house, we have defined project week as all Project work all the time.  To that end BR is at our house this week for the intense level of work.

What the children have chosen to study intently for one week.

BR:  Baseball  – history, miracle plays, teams, and rules.  BR - Project Day 2b

BR - Project Day 2

JV-Project Day 1JV:  The Charleston Bump (not a dance) and the JV -Project Day 2Gyre that is generated by this seabed anomaly.       He has created a character to interact with the water – a slave in the mid- 1850’s whose master is a harbor pilot.

Simon has a secret miniature book with salvaged maps, thoughts, and other “contraband” items.  His project is that book.

Yes, I let him play with matches.  What is a secret book if there isn’t trauma to the materials?

AV - Project Day 2AV:  Hunting Island and its light house.  Has created a character who is a specialist in Fresnel lenses.  He comes to place the lenses back into theAV-day 1 lighthouse in 1879.

His journal notes, photographs, and illustrations are AV’s project.
