Light and Life exists to support children as they come to Jesus for themselves. The process of self-formation requires engaging the entire person – body, soul, mind, and spirit. Toddlers are no exception. They are learning to inhabit their world as a differentiated person.
The weekday atrium is available to nurture the child’s development in this critical stage.
When we gathered to form the atrium, we decided on three non-negotiables:
- Follow a Montessori pedagogy through a Christian lens.
- Provide living wages and opportunities to develop personal and professional skills for our staff.
- Support a diversity of families (race/ethnicity, genders, economic strata, parent’s sexual orientation, faiths, and disabilities) with the goal of eventually being eligible for grants to support diversity further.
